Samarth Ghoslya is a postdoctoral researcher at the Future Mobility Lab. His work focuses on designing Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) frameworks, bringing simulation to life through real-world demonstrations.
Born in Jaipur, India, Samarth’s journey has taken him from the pink city’s chaos to the cafés of Rome and the boulevards of Paris, where he earned his PhD as a joint degree between Sapienza University of Rome and CY Cergy Paris University. His doctoral research centred on System Optimal Ridesharing and Traffic Equilibrium, connecting dynamic ridesharing with the challenge of reducing emissions.
When not running models or debugging agent-based simulations, he’s likely spiking volleyballs, sipping espresso at a corner café, or daydreaming about multiplanetary travel, because designing mobility on Earth is just step one.
